Lori, Owner and Director of ShéLor School of
Dance for twenty-two years, is a member of Physical Mind Institute and
certified to teach the Pilates Method through Power House Pilates and
Physical Mind Institute. She is also a member of the Royal Academy of
Dance (RAD), where she pursues her classical ballet training and ensures
her students the ability to certify in their ballet syllabus at graduating
levels. She is a member of Dance Educators of America (DEA), a national
organization of dance. Lori has studied extensively with world renowned
teachers and performers; Debbie Dee, Mignon Furman, Gus Giordano, Frank
Hatchett, David Howard, Luigi, Dame Antoinette Sibley, Charles Stanley,
Joe Tremaine and Gwen Verdon. She is certified through the Fred Astaire
Performing Arts to teach Tap from beginning to advanced levels and studied
extensively in Miami Florida with master teachers. Lori’s dance students
have participated in many dance competitions and received high honors and
special awards along with numerous ballet certifications. Lori has
contributed to many community events; as choreographer for the Community
Theatre Guilds and has served as judge for dance related activities. She
was a former co-captain for the Butler High School Sequinettes 1975-76.
Lori has been a Registered Nurse for 25 years and works at Hospice
Services, VNA of Western PA. Lori resides in the area with her husband,
Reverend James Lewis, their daughter Lucy and three stepchildren, Michael,
Hadie and Eric Lewis. |
